広島東洋カープのユニフォーム・ロゴ・マスコット

皆さん、こんにちは!

広島大学のGhana (ガーナ) です。

最近僕はHSAAの皆さんと一緒に初めてのカープ野球試合をマツダズームズームスタジアムで見ました。

残念なことですが、カープは日本ハムに負けてしまいました。

しかし、試合は非常に面白くて楽しかったです。

特に、最後のイニングでした。

僕は絶対に楽しんでいました。

さて、今から僕は広島東洋カープのことをいくつか教えてあげようと思います。

今回はユニフォーム・ロゴ・マスコットについて話しておきます。

広島東洋カープのウニフォームはチームが1950年に創設されてから色々なデザインに変遷しています。

最初は紺色のユニフォームカラーをつけていました。

そして、1958年、ボストン・レッドソックスを参考にしたユニフォームに変更し、今までつけている赤色が登場し始めました。

ですが、当時まだほとんど紺色のユニフォームカラーをつけていました。

1977年、ユニフォームカラーが反転されて、大体赤色をつけていて、一つの大変更になりました。

1989年、山本浩二さんの監督就任後、ユニフォームは当時のシンシナティ・レッズを意識したデザインに変更され、結局ユニフォームカラーが全く赤色をつけています。

広島東洋カープのロゴは「カープ坊や」です。

カープ坊やというのは1975年に岡崎福雄（ガリバー岡崎）によって描かれ、カープのユニフォームと帽子を着ている男の子であり、カープ少年の意味を表します。

広島東洋カープのマスコットは「スラィリー」です。

スラィリーというのはアメリカのハリソンエリクソン社によって作られ、1995年7月29日にデビューし、フィラデルフィア・フィリーズの「フィリー・ファナティック」に似ている青緑色のキャラクターであります。

Slylyというのは英語で「お茶目な」や「いたずら好きな」の意味を持っています。

チームが大量得点や大型連勝の時、ピンクに変色した「ハッピースラィリー」が出ます。

Carp's Uniform Design, Logo, and Mascot

Hello, everyone.

This is Ghana from Hiroshima University.

Recently, I watched my first Carp game at Mazda Zoom-Zoom Stadium Hiroshima with the others HSAA members.

Even though unfortunately Carp lost to Nippon Ham, the game was very interesting and intense, especially the last inning.

Now, I would like to share some new things that I just learned about Hiroshima Toyo Carp.

This time, I want to talk about their uniform design, symbol, and mascot.

Since their establishment in 1950, Carp's uniform design has been changed so many times throughout the years.

Their initial uniform had navy blue as their main color theme.

The color red was initially introduced in around 1958 after they redesigned their uniform based on Boston Red Sox's team uniform, however at that time the navy blue color was still the main theme.

A major change happened in 1977 after they completely reversed the color theme of their jersey.

Eventually, their uniform color was completely changed to only red in 1989, which is based on the uniform of Cincinnati Reds at that time, after Koji Yamamoto was inaugurated as the manager of Hiroshima Toyo Carp.

The logo of Hiroshima Toyo Carp is 'Carp Boya', which means Carp boy.

It was drawn by Fukao Okazaki (Gulliver Okazaki) in 1975.

The logo shows a boy wearing Carp cap and uniform with green hair and round eyes holding a baseball bat.

The mascot of Hiroshima Toyo Carp is Slyly, a teal-colored character that similar to the Phillie Phanatic of the Philadelphia Phillies, that first appeared on July 29, 1995.

Both characters were drawn by Harrison/Erickson, Inc.

The word 'slyly' means 'playful' or 'mischievous' in English.

If the team is winning or having a continuous winning streak, it changes to Happy Slyly with the color pink.
