Volunteering at a Food Bank in Japan
Recently as part of my work as a Hiroshima Study Abroad Ambassador, I got the opportunity to volunteer at a food bank. Hitomusubi Food Bank is located in Higashi Hiroshima and serves the surrounding communities. It is open on 8th, 18th, and 28th of every month.
While volunteering there I helped restock supplies inspect and catalog food donations and more. This experience allowed me to witness firsthand the impact of community-driven initiatives and the importance of collective efforts in tackling social issues.
This opportunity enriched my time in Hiroshima and reinforced my commitment to serving others and making a positive difference I can.
